My snday paper was missing the comics. I felt deprived (I know, different comics.)
It's so cold all the pine needles are drooping. It makes me cold just looking at them.
I had plans for today, but they got rescheduled. Oh well.
I have to take the trash out, so I might as well go run some errands as well.
Had bizarro big-budget disaster-apocalyse dreams last night. Not scary, really. But I think I took out Phoenix and Las Vegas.... really strange. I'd love to know where these things come from.
I had action movie dreams. At some point I had to leap from my car and dangle from some kind of moving machinery until it moved to a point where I could safely drop. Maybe I was fighting the Sarapocalypse.
I am so happy to be home and have tomorrow off. The last couple of weeks at work have been crazy. It's very exciting to be on the verge of publishing my first book, but damn.
Both DH and I dreamed that we had sold our business. For the same amount! The only diff was that in mine it was being sold right now and his dream was a couple years in the future. I'm thinking I tapped into his dream and improved it. Still very odd to dream the same thing.
There is a warm kitty sitting on my lap....
Do it, Laura! Then you can retire and move to - oh, wait.
That is odd, Laura. Hmm.
The SO dreamed that we had to go to the reservation on the last day that our work team was here and when we came back they had put in little stairways to all the different rooms so that each room was at a different level. In the dream he was furious, and asked them, "Just what did you think we meant when we said we needed wheelchair accessibility?" and they said, "Well, you can still get in the front door." (Which is not true, the graded level entry to the front door is one of the things we lost when we switched from slab to crawlspace.) They had also carpeted a bunch of the rooms (it's actually all tile except the studio.)
I was amused at this particular manifestation of anxiety dreaming.
I'm having friends over and shall make a spinach-and-onion quiche, for fear of having no savories other than cheese. Good cheese, but still! Quiche! It has protein and vegetables!
It's a bit chilly out today, but not too bad. I had banana-walnut pancakes at my sister's house, which was nice: I never think to order pancakes when I go out to brunch (I'm an omelet and fried potatoes gal), and I never make them at home because they're so filling (and kind of a hassle). So it's nice to have them.
Okay, back to cleaning and cooking. Yay for having tomorrow off, too: I am loving this long weekend.
I had forgotten that this is a three day weekend!! How exciting! I wasn't going to go out tonight, but now that I can sit around and do nothing tomorrow, I may be motivated to leave my house today :)
