A ghost? What's the deal? Is every frat on this campus haunted? And if so, why do people keep coming to these parties, cause it's not the snacks.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Happy Birthday, Anne!

Today is the first day this week that a certain professor doesn't have to do any TV/Radio interviews, so I'll actually be able to have some choice about what work I do.

not your mom's socks.

Happy Birthday Anne!

So yesterday, I picked up my boots - the ones that completely fell apart in DC. They're at least 4 years old, I wear them all the time, and they should fall apart. But I took them to the shoe repair place up the hill (I love having a shoe repair place!) and, for $18, I have a practically new pair of shoes. this is a good thing.

today, though, feels like a Monday.

Although the ones you borrowed from me were a 35, not a 36.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Happy Anneday!

Meanwhile - where is my dinner? I ordered it more than an hour ago - getting on for two, surely, by now.

Pesky Thai House-elves! Bad job!

Meanwhile, as it was getting ridiculous, I have stared fixedly into the fridge and then rustled up a rocket salad with feta and bacon and cherry tomatoes. It was very nice. Now I do not need the steak, really. I'll take it to work for lunch, of course, but still - could have saved that impulsive splashing out of cash, as it turns out.

Also, soon I will want to go to bed.

You were so great to let me borrow them. They're completely on the list. once we're off financial lockdown and I can shop, it's on.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

B Birthday Happies Anne!!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthday, Anne!

And I just saw Susan's question about reinventing her wardrobe while on a budget. You might want to check out an outlet mall in your area. Prices won't be at the thrift store level, but still a good bit cheaper than the regular price. And there should be enough clothing stores to allow for good selection.
