We should make a crappy Hollywood adaptation of a halfway decent comic book!

I liked Constantine more than I expected to, but not a lot. I still wish James Marsters had been cast as Constantine.
'War Stories'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Now THAT's the kind of proactive thinking this organization needs!
We just need to maximize our outstanding excellence! I'm thinking we'll make the Love and Rockets movie, only without all those scary Hispanic people, loud punk music, or unsettling Central American magical villages. Our focus groups indicate that audiences would prefer Caucasians (I'm thinking Brad Pitt and Katherine Heigl for the leads - text me!), a strong male lead (so Maggie will become Mark but don't worry, Hopey - who'll become Hope - will still be around for sex appeal), and a more linear storyline (and hey, we can serve that up in spades!).
MiSTing would definitely make 300 better. Honestly, I didn't even dislike 300. Or like it. It was... a thing that happened to me.
I love the quote of a friend of mine right after we'd watched it (this was w/out the MSTies), about how he was "still reeling from the testosterone funk."

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Hunter Rose or Christine Spar.
On that subject, Joe (though still off topic), God and the Devil (the Epi Thatcher Grendel story) is finally being released trade paperback this summer.
Huh. Awesome.
Good thinking, Corwood - let's do lunch!
I'll have my people talk to your people, Jessica. We'll have to rope in Griffin Mill and Larry Levi on this, too.
You know, Corwood, if you're going to talk seriously about this project, the only choice for director is Uwe Boll.
That's brilliant, Sean! I'm sure he can handle all those action sequences with his usual deft touch.
