My eleven-year-old cousin thinks Sweeney Todd is the best movie he's ever seen. I think it was the first time he'd seen something, especially a musical, that didn't have a traditional Happy Ending.
Actually, it must be musical-specific, because the kid watches Avatar. He knows all about not having the traditional Happy Ending.

Aimee, I had the same reaction to Juno.
I saw Persepolis today. It surprisingly came back to our local theatre this week. I've never read the graphic novel, but I really enjoyed the film. It was beautiful in it's starkness and simplicity.
