I saw Persepolis today. It surprisingly came back to our local theatre this week. I've never read the graphic novel, but I really enjoyed the film. It was beautiful in it's starkness and simplicity.
Allison Janney going off on that ultrasound tech was TEH AWESOME.

Can anyone give me an example (that contemporary college students would know) of a movie where you only hear the main character throughout--you never see them.

The only one I can think of with that perspective through the whole movie is Lady In The Lake.
It doesn't have to be a main character. Just a character who never appears.
