Oh I love Science of Sleep. I've never seen a more accurate depiction of how a dream feels onscreen. And I love the way the relationship develops and then gets turned on its head by the end. Just love it.
That's exactly how I felt about it. So enjoyable, and the quirkiness felt vital to the story rather than being tacked on just for the hell of it. And I think I liked the art direction even better than that of Pan's Labyrinth.
I finally saw
August Rush
and in a giant instance of predictableness I loved and and thought it to be one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen.
I've got August Rush sat here waiting for me in my DVD pile (and Lars and the Real Girl). Loved loved loved Donnie Darko.
Oh my gosh! What rock have I been under that I totally didn't know that there is a Lost Boys 2 being released this summer??
WITH BOTH COREY'S!!! [link]
Holy cow I thought that was a joke when I heard it! (but then I thought Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo was a joke too)

Upon closer inspection, it should be noted that it is:
a) not directed by Joel Schumacher (Good or bad? You decide.)
b) Direct to video, and
c) only featuring the Coreys as return characters (no Allan Frog)
This:
featuring the Coreys
Is really the only thing I care about.
And the director is playing "Garlic Man".
I only know about it because i watched a few episode of the atrocious reality show starring the two of them. Feldman found out that Haim was in talks to make a sequel and pitched a fit because he hadn't been asked. seems they smoothed out his delicate feathers.
I watched Into the Wild last night. So glad I didn't know the story or read the book. I enjoyed it much more than any other Sean Penn directed movie I've ever seen.
The casting was top notch. I think Emile Hirsch carried the film very well.
