Wesley: All right. I'm going to let you all in on something you may have trouble comprehending. I assure you however-- Gunn: Vampires are real. Wesley: I was telling!

'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

That's been the state of affairs ever since Another Country, hasn't it?

I dunno - I love Rupert in CEMETERY MAN, but it's hardly a traditional role for him I guess (also, MONKEY B. now that I think about it, but again, not so traditional).

Or is this just movies with Rupert AND Colin?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

A pointlessly nifty thing about Apple TV is trailers on tap. Fewer movies should take me by surprise now. I toddled over because I was reading questions about the Get Smart trailer, but now I know about Forbidden Kingdom! How cool is that?

Well, okay, Get Smart looked lame, but the idea of the trailer thing is good.

Ooh! Harold & Kumar 2!

The only way Forbidden Kingdom could be any better is if Chow Yun Fat was in it. As Wong Fei-Hung.

I'm irrationally excited about Nim's Island.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

WHAT. Oh, man. He was still so freakin' young.

That was him who played the uncredited interviewer of the old Briony played by Vanessa Redgrave in Atonement, right?
