Be Kind Rewind - well, I haven't checked to see if anybody else liked it and I've not seen any reviews, but I like it a lot. It's odd - it's sold as a wacky comedy, and it certainly is to some extent, but it's mostly a movie with a heart about people. There's large bursts with little in the way of laugh out loud funny, but it works. The writer/director is very talented.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I just read that Kristin Chenoweth has been tapped to do one of the songs from Enchanted at the Oscars.
I'm glad that they're letting Amy Adams sing "Happy Working Song," though. I hope she wears the giant princess dress for it.
Amy Adams is just busting out all over. Hasn't she been in, like, six movies or something, in just the last six months?
She's been a busy actress for the last couple of years. Good for her.
o.O
Days after showing off her her Lohans to the world, Lindsay has lined herself up a brand-new, fully clothed, A-list project.
Producers have exclusively confirmed to E! News that the tabloid queen is resuming her day job, signing on to star alongside Jack Black in Ye Olde Times, a comedy tentatively set to start rolling this April.
A source at Patriot Pictures, which is producing the yukfest, told E! News that the film follows two rival Renaissance Faire troupes as they make their way through the competitive circuit. It's unclear whether Lohan will be one of Black's repertory players or a member of a competing Ren Faire faction.
boy did I underestimate Surf's Up. I think I picked the wrong Best Animated Feature.
Very cool graph: 20 years of box-office receipts
Okay, that link is serious freakin' cool. First thought - scrolling right back, movies show far far far less early peaking, but stay around a lot longer (the classic example is Top Gun, right at the beginning). Contrast to recent years, where they peak massively, then disappear much much quicker.
