Mal: Zoe, why do I have a wife? Jayne: You got a wife? All I got is that dumbass stick sounds like its raining. How come you got a wife?

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yes, Fight Club was a moody Merchant-Ivory piece.

Well, it did have HBC in it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Now I want to somehow insert the phrase "Bob had bitch-tits" into every single M-I movie ever made.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Now I want to somehow insert the phrase "Bob had bitch-tits" into every single M-I movie ever made.

Hell, I'm thinking about inserting it into every conversation I ever have.

"Morning, Joe. Rough drive in?"

"Not too bad. Roads were wet, but not slick. Bob had bitch-tits."

"Good, good. What?"

Hey. New board.

I started reading Fight Club recently. It's pretty angry. I think I'm going to have an unhealthy relationship with Chuck Palahniuk soon. Sample chapters on the Kindle are like CRACK.

I want to see a movie today because my students drove me crazy today. It should be good, but not especially dark or depressing. I'm thinking maybe The Savages. Anybody seen it?

You know that he came out of the closet since he wrote FC, right?

Really? I had no idea.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I was told by friends who saw it that The Savages was good but...dark and depressing.

Hey. New board.

Darn it! Why are no Oscar contenders ever HAPPY?

I think I'm gonna see it anyway. As long as it's not about obnoxious teenagers, I guess I don't mind it being depressing.

Always Anti-fascist!

Oh, once in a while they are. But it's been a while.

Little Miss Sunshine was mostly happy.

And so is Juno, mostly.
