Punishingly Intricate

Weather report: Everyone is pretty sure there was a small tornado in my neighborhood yesterday afternoon. Trees and tree limbs are down everywhere and a roof was blown off a restaurant. And power was out for a while for a bunch of the neighborhood. Craziness!

(everyone = folks in the neighborhood...not trained meteorologists)

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Happy Birthday to Dillo! I hope he feels better soon.

I have a major case of the gronks this morning. I got up at 7:00 to do laundry, and then putzed around the apartment after getting the clothes all put away instead of getting ready for work, so that I was an hour late. I can't stay late due to working at the bookstore tonight, so I guess I'll have to make it up tomorrow. Oh, well.

Can someone e-mail me some caffeine? kthxbye

Weather report:

At one point during it, I couldn't see more than 3 feet out the window. I'm mildly surprised the flamingo survived that!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. The mushroom was grown on a coffee farm. That must explain it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Man, I need a life with more leisure. Or less responsibility. Or more sick time.

I think platform peep toe shoes are of dubious work-appropriateness, but when your toes overhang it's definitely a no go. Of course, this woman has also attended meetings in shorts, so I'm not responding with surprise.
