Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's headed this way. Yay!

On radar, there's a very long, narrow line of thunderstorms heading toward ChiTown.

I hate it when people say "ChiTown." I don't know why I just did.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

It's 92 right now, but we're supposed to get thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow. Yay!

ChiTown was the name of my brother's band in college--they were a Chicago cover band (as in the band Chicago), and my brother was the leader, saxophonist, and music arranger for the group.

Is it CHEE-town or CHY-town?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

The second one.

Although it's usually more like "SHY-town."

Perzactly. (Although, I must admit, I thought that was the pronunciation she meant. My brain didn't even conceive of a hard "ch" sound at the beginning.)

Does that mean you are Shy-cat?

Oddly, the worst of it has now past but it was monsooning for a while and now that it's stopped the temperature has gone up to 71 degrees.
