He had a lot of influence on me, both in my thinking and in my writing style. I've actually tried to tone down the Bradbury-ness, out of a sense that it's maybe overwhelming.
We've under a deluge again. And the temperature has dropped from about 86 to 73 since it started raining.
It's headed this way. Yay! I hope I actually get a good rain out of this one. The last few we've had, I just got light rain. I want a good downpour. Also, the temp drop would be nice. It's still about 90 here.

I hate it when people say "ChiTown." I don't know why I just did.
It's 92 right now, but we're supposed to get thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow. Yay!
ChiTown was the name of my brother's band in college--they were a Chicago cover band (as in the band Chicago), and my brother was the leader, saxophonist, and music arranger for the group.
