Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, sarameg.

Shark Week's ad with the Indianapolis, narrated by Richard Dryfus is freakin' cool.

It is so HOT outside. Bleh.

(Happy Birthday, sarameg)

I have been enjoying my Eureka DVDs the past couple of days. But I don't think I'll manage a full marathon before tomorrow night. Ah, well. I'll at least watch the S1 finale. (I'm just typing random stuff so that I can sandwich the birthday greeting in all nonchalant-like, see?)

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Happy Birthday, sarameg!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Happy Birthday, sarameg!

argh. My Tivo, which was working fine yesterday, is now stuck on the "Welcome! Powering up..." screen. This is my third Tivo in a string of exchanges. If I end up having to get a fourth one before there's one that works, I will be, well, even more extremely annoyed than I already am. I'm begining to think that this is actually a sales tactic, to get me to give up on getting exchanges on the old one and just buy a new one.

I'm relieved to see others are as anal as I am about the texting. I don't go for punctuation other than periods or commas (no apostrophes for me), but spelling I'm pretty darn strict on.

I don't text. I'm completely too slow at it to make it worthwhile. Well, and none of my people text, so I'd be texting into the ether, or nearly so.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

This. And can I tell you just how glad I am that none of my people text, either? I love technology. I love computers. But I am of an Age where texting just annoys me.

Happy Birthday sarameg!

Why is it that, while blackberries taste better than blueberries individually, blueberry pie is so much better than blackbberry pie? Ah well, content with it remaining a mystery since it's blueberry pie I'm eating right now.

In less happy making news, I came home tonight to discover that the new owners had removed the fence around our front (unsecured) parking lot, trimmed the hedge to the point that I'm unsure it can survive this hot summer, and cut all the branches off our surrounding copse of lovely oak trees up to the 30' mark. The front of the building is now exposed with what looks like a bunch of thick telephone poles in front of it where beautiful shady trees once stood. Yeah, when this place goes condo or the rent doubles, having a clear unobstructed view of the rehab center across the street is really going to be a draw for the new tenants.

There's also a note about various upcoming "improvements" to the common areas and grounds. Of course, none of the tenants in residence were asked if they wanted any changes made.
