Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

I am very very grateful to lori's shutterbugginess.

The charge nurse at Children's (one of the only nurses there we have liked) took a polaroid (!!) of me and K holding Grace. Polaroids are surprisingly more flattering due to the lower resolution.

Definitely to the latter. Mom took some blurry pics of me with D when he was born, and I look AWESOME.

When I went to the dentist, it cracked me up that they took a digital photo to attach to my file. I guess if I turn up dead and require dental identification, they can tell what I used to look like?!

And that picture along with the least flattering high school yearbook shot will show up on the nightly news.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Auntie is like on-tee. I left the books underneath her bed, with her name written in them.

She had a very serene day.
