YAY! Binky! I'm so grateful that you were there. I learned from Noah's occupational therapist that we should be cuddling her. So this morning I lowered the guard on one side and slid an arm underneath and behind her and put my hand around her and sort of craddled her there without lifting her up.
Did she have her eyes open for you, paperdol?
Someone is a rocking auntie!
There was a great TAL intro on the show about Siblings where a toddler when asked what she thought about the new baby said, "She died." Only funny cause she wasn't.
Okay, what do I need to pack for my overnight hospital stay tonight?
nightgown or PJs you can nurse in
slippers
toothbrush/toothpaste
your own pillow
nursing pillow if you have one
carseat & going-home outfit for Noah!
Speaking of dead babies, one of the nurses in Grace's nursery today was muttering something about how all of her babies keep dying.
yoiks. things not to say in front of the moms.
Jessica, they are keeping him one more day, I think. He has an eye exam on Tuesday. But the rest of the stuff is a great idea!

Woah, NOT COOL! That's what your blog is for, lady!
Jesse, water won't usually ruin linen.
I figured, but the stain-ish thing looked like a water spot (only that much discoloration), so then I got nervous! I haven't been back to check.
YAYAY going-home-tomorrow Noah!! Edit: OK, or not tomorrow. BUT STILL.
And YIKES to the nurse.
K and I heard her, looked at each other, then mouthed, "What the fuck?"

Oh, right - that makes sense, not moving him around too much. In that case, I'd say bring several possible going-home outfits and a camera so you can try them on him and post adorable pictures for us to coo over.
IOparentingN, I've got my fingers crossed that the A/C isn't too loud tonight for me to hear D's waking-up noises when it's time for him to eat again around midnight. (It's sooooo much easier to get him back to sleep if he doesn't wake up fully enough to start crying...)
