vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Um, if I had a book out, I'd be very tempted to take a picture of it the first place I saw it shelved for sale.

Dude, I had thought about taking a picture when I went in to pick up my copy tonight!

A little staring would NOT be out of place, paperdol.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Grrr. The BU Barnes and Noble doesn't let you search for any books but textbooks. I get a discount there, but I don't necessarily want to haul myself all the way to Kenmore Square. The Pru has it, and it's a bit closer to work.

(I've also ordered it via the Amazon affiliate link, but that copy can be gifted)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Le woot! The B&N at Fisherman's Wharf has it. I shall go there tonight and talk excitedly about it, thereby drawing the interest of tourists (who actually pay attention to random excited people). Emily, would you care to join me?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

when you work in a field that is largely used as a synonym for amazingness and smartness and best of the best?

It's not used as a synonym for the clueful, though. I am trying to imagine Paperdol's reaction if you said "No, babysit them more" about her old gig.

Hmm. I wonder if the Borders near here has a copy. And there's a B&N nearer home I need to check out too.

I was gonna go to Literary, but fuck it. I looked the book up on B&N, and noticed this:

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

The one thing I did in college which was sort of entitled was look at all my assignments ahead of time, and sometimes asked my non-theatre professors to cut me a break during tech week if the assignment could not for some reason be completed ahead of time.

That's not entitled -- that's time management, and advance planning, and being all responsible and shit. Entitled is asking for the break after the fact, or because you have a date that night and don't feel like it.

Art Crawl!!!

Or NOT asking and expecting it to be okay.

Wimbledon: Wow. You know, I don't think I've ever seen Gasquet play before. At least he gets to wait 'til Noon to play Federer. It should be a good match. And I also hope that Djokovic is nicely rested for his match with Nadal.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

This is pathetic, but I really want to go into the Barnes & Noble in Pasadena and just stare at the book.

Stare at a WHOLE BUNCH OF THEM!

That would be awesome.

Now, if you start giggling and jumping up and down and screeching "that's my book! that's my book!" you'd be verging toward something a little more sociall unacceptable... but still not pathetic.

(Unless you're Stephen King -- because he really should be over it by now)
