Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

This is pathetic, but I really want to go into the Barnes & Noble in Pasadena and just stare at the book.

Stare at a WHOLE BUNCH OF THEM!

That would be awesome.

Now, if you start giggling and jumping up and down and screeching "that's my book! that's my book!" you'd be verging toward something a little more sociall unacceptable... but still not pathetic.

(Unless you're Stephen King -- because he really should be over it by now)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

What time are you going juliana? I'm going to be SF bound this evening...

6:30 - 7ish. You gonna be around? I have to pop home and measure space in my apartment, since there's a chair on clearance at Cost Plus (right next door to B&N!) that I kinda like.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was gonna go home for lunch, but I think I need to go to B&N instead.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm on the phone with Mike at the B&N in Ann Arbor and he is PUTTING MY COPY ON HOLD RIGHT NOW!

I might even buy 2! Or 5! Or 10!

I MIGHT BUY THEM ALL.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I MIGHT BUY THEM ALL.

...and she just might be crazy enough to do it.

Gah, I have to be at Moscone by 6pm. Oh, well. I know my All-Star excitement is silly compared to HAVING A BOOK IN A BOOKSTORE. But I am with you on the bouncy.

I have the book on order with Amazon. I think I'll buy it in the store and maybe give my Amazon copy to a friend.

(I originally ordered one on Amazon to help increase the book's ranking and maybe increase the buzz.)
