Citizenship test=good fun! I got 95%. I didn't know the Naturalization form.
I am feeling panicky! The doctor said Noah was ready to go home this weekend and he asked if I would prefer for them to stretch it out to discharge on monday. Ummm..... ack! I kept coming up with other things that needed addressing ("What about circumsicion?" "What about immunizations?" "Can I meet with the lactation consultant before he goes?" "Can I Room-In one night to practice?" "I still need to take CPR which is only offered on mondays")
BTW, JZ, Thank you for the onesies!. Little man is growing fast and furious and I am sad that he won't get too much more wear out of this.
I celebrated being an American in appropriate style: gluttonously chowing down on beef served to me by people from Latin America. Before tonight, I didn't realize that steak could actually stop smelling good at some point.
Oh my god, how ultra-adorable does Noah look in that onesie?
Heee! Kat, I'm glad he's getting any wear out of it at all, and I'm sure Grace will look equally ultra-adorable in hers too. And I just felt like you and the babies deserved something cute and frivolous, what with Grace's hospital behaving like ass and all.
I'm so happy for Noah and you that he's heading home so soon, and vibing hard for Grace to hurry up and not let him get too far ahead.
ION, Hec and Emmett just left to walk to the top of a nearby hill to see the fireworks. Hec is nigh dead from exhaustion and I'm all worrited for him. He's going to return home a boneless puddle that needs to be poured into bed. I'd be walking with him to lend moral support, except (a) sleeping baby, and (b) nigh dead from exhaustion myself.
But it was a lovely day, tiredness and all. Went to a BBQ in the backyard of a puppeteer friend and her artist husband, walked home with Matilda through the Panhandle, past many many picnics and games of basketball, badminton and bocce, and met many many dogs, one of whom kilt Matilda ded with excitement by vigorously licking her foot.
I just bought a box of CrustyO's cereal. They're very much like Fruit Loops.
The Kwik-E-Mart that's allegedly in DC is actually in the suburbs, and not by a metro. (It is kind of near a bus stop, but it takes forever to get there, and I don't want to go to a Kwik-E-Mart quite that badly.)
Yeah, the one in Chicago is way to hell and gone. Feh.
I can see the firework shows from a good half dozen suburbs right from my couch. I think the views are the one thing I'll really miss with this move.
Yay fireworks!
You know what I just found out? There's a Kwik-i-Mart right around the corner from me. Like walking distance. DH's coworker wants to go there at 5 am. And he wants DH to come. Clearly he's never seen DH at 5 am.
Ooh. That must mean there's a Kwik-I-Mart near me, huh?
Burrell, I stil owe you a copy of that TV show, don't I? I'll get that taken care of this week.
Off to bed. Dilaudid typing is hard. All thanks be to Polgara, who helped a sister out.
