Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok. This might be only funny to me, but it just occured to me that the storm in Chicago will probably hit where I am.

I sometimes forget I live in Michigan again.

For instance ... our parking lot here at work is shared with various companies that use large trucks. Everytime one goes into our parking lot or drives by and shakes the building, I always think, "EARTHQUAKE!"

I have interected daily with Dana for approximately five years. In that time she has proven to be nothing short of professional and exceedingly articulate. Dana frequently goes above and beyond the call of duty in ensuring that all parties she works with are satisfied with her work."

Dude! I need Aimee to be my reference, that's awesome!

I am happy to be a reference for any and all Buffistas that should want one.

For lo! I am an artist and my medium is bullshit.

I look at it as worker/job fic. With a nosh of non-fic added.

I did not get swept away. I didn't even go downstairs, because the monsoon portion of today's thunderstrom has subsided. Now it needs to stop raining so I can go shoe shopping after work without getting soaked.

When I lived in Michigan, I could always predict the weather by what the Chicagoistas were reporting.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Coworkers are coming up from street level and telling us that the streets are flooding.

Huh. It barely rained here and I'm not that far from the Loop.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Speaking of weather, today is such a perfect, mild, sunny San Francisco day that I would have been absolutely unsurprised if everyone at the Ferry Building Farmer's Market had burst into a spontaneous polka of joy.

Not to rub it in, just observing.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Aimee, just remember - when giving references, no slashing (possibly the only time it's inappropriate).

You know, I did not move here for the weather, but realized when I walked outside today what a lovely fringe benefit it was.

I actually really like thunderstorms. So, it's a good day for me even though I didn't get a lot of rain.

eta: megan, how is it going in SF? Settling in okay?
