"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

"Mommy's in the rug." I am suddenly hit with American Gothic flashbacks.

Erm. You know how that ended, right?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Weird. I've been watching the radar, and a little while ago only a tiny storm was over Chicago. Now it's much bigger. So our current storm didn't come from somewhere - it formed right here.

Oh dear. Coworkers are coming up from street level and telling us that the streets are flooding. I may have to go to the lobby to gawk.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, at least it's a quick storm. (We got it a couple of hours ago.)

Art Crawl!!!

And the temperature has dropped several degrees - so that's good.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

We could use a drop in temperature - it's distinctly steamy out there.

Ooh. We have a severe thunderstorm warning and a flood watch at the same time.

Also, I hope shrift didn't get swept away by the flood....

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok. This might be only funny to me, but it just occured to me that the storm in Chicago will probably hit where I am.

I sometimes forget I live in Michigan again.

For instance ... our parking lot here at work is shared with various companies that use large trucks. Everytime one goes into our parking lot or drives by and shakes the building, I always think, "EARTHQUAKE!"

I have interected daily with Dana for approximately five years. In that time she has proven to be nothing short of professional and exceedingly articulate. Dana frequently goes above and beyond the call of duty in ensuring that all parties she works with are satisfied with her work."

Dude! I need Aimee to be my reference, that's awesome!
