Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

Spike's Bitches 35: We Got a History

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

~ma to Teddy.

I got some sleep last night, after not sleeping more than three hours the night before, and I feel more awake this morning than I usually do.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

have you ever tried to make matzoh? Homemade is rumored to be so much better but it's hard to imagine because of the limitations.

I have not, but I want to try it. I think DH did in Sunday school, but it didn't make enough of an impression for him to be able to describe the process to me. I was about to say "Maybe next year", but it occurs to me that making my first attempt when I'm not trying to do all the other Passover stuff would probably be a good idea.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gronklies.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I'm all blushy now.

Librarian Warlord

I'd love to hear how it goes, -t. My DH has been making challah every week since we've been here, so now I know he knows how to use the measuring cups, and matzoh would be a good thing for him to try.

I got $10 that says juliana is even prettier when she's blushy! Anybody wanna bet?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I'm all blushy now.

So your cheeks match your hair?

Damn. I didn't think the joke was that bad.

Anyway. Bay Area-istas, what's a good place to eat in the Embarcadero Center area?

Any place in the Ferry Bldg. (I'm sure Hec will be in with more specific and extensive advice soon)

Are they open for dinner?

Heh. Ferry Building is best. I bought you a chicken sandwich at Lulu Petite that you liked. You can also get roast chicken at both Mistral and the lunch counter of the Golden Gate Meat Company place. I really like Mijita the Mexican restaurant. Tom and I ate at the Oyster Bar there yesterday. You might like the offerings at Delica, the Japanese/French delicatessen that has the potato croquettes and shrimp cakes.

Oh, damn this repeat discussion of potato croquettes when I still have none!
