Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Hey, all. On A & E (cable) last night, I saw ads for US broadcast of a show called MI-5. I am vaguely recalling British discussion of this show, which went (?) under another name, back in the spring. Anyone care to refresh my memory? It starts here is about 2 weeks.

That would be Spooks. It's terribly written, like unbelievably bad, but strangely entertaining and glamorous.

So, sort of like Alias, but a British sort of glamour instead of the Hollywood kind?

Nobody

I've got a copy, Angus. It's recorded on long-play, but it was recorded off digital tv so its fine to watch. Are you in Melbourne area? Because I'm going to be down there tomorrow for a cousin's 21st so I could just post it while I was there if you want to email me your addy (my profile addy is fine.)

ASH also guest stars in an episode of Spooks.

Angus, I have no tape but I do have a d/loaded copy on disk if that's any good for you.

Thanks Leigh and moonlit! Leigh, I'll take up your offer if that's OK; I'll e-mail you my address.

Oh, I should mention that ASH is in one episode of "Spooks." In case you weren't already tempted. t Duh, sorry, moonlit already mentioned that! It's not really like Alias, it's supposed to be very realistic, but it's let down a bit by the fact that everybody keeps explaining stuff to their fellow spies that they obviously already know, just for the benefit of the audience. ("As you know, MI5 deals with domestic matters, whereas MI6 deals with things that occur overseas..." Still, now I know that, at least.)

Well, you know what I mean Jim; perhaps "deadpan" describes it better.
