Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Overall consensus seems to be happy-sad. With much wistfulness and damn allergies.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Saw it last night. Perfect. Better ending than I could have imagined.

OK, Jim, rub it in.

[BTW, did you send the tapes? And the email you promised me...? Sorry, backchannel, I know.]

Swouncing

t whiner The last episode I've seen in "Once More, With Feeling". In my world, Tara is alive though sad, Giles is still in the USA, Xander and Anya are only engaged to be married, and Buffy and a chipped Spike just kissed once. Also, Joss is talking about doing a new show in the next year of my world, something about a western in space. My world will have to see how it'll work out. t /tries very hard to close the whiner tag

Nobody

Is it as pitiful as it feels, that I want to move to Nilly's world?

So how is the (unspoilery) consensus? How was the finale? Are you happy-sad or just sad-sad?

Happy-happy-happy-broken/sad. Beautimouse.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I was pretty darn happy and should leave before I say something.

But if Jim is rubbing things in I could stick around...

It's a remora, dimwit.

Eh, I was underwhelmed. But I have very high Buffy standards and I tend to really think about each plot point. But for TV it was still very good. (So, something to both look forward to and dread, and pity those of us who now have to come up with something to do on Tuesday nights.)

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

No! No more rubbing in!

Just plain rubbing, that's a different matter. But I'm feeling sore enough with the Firefly love, without having to think about Buffy ending as well.

"When the world's run by fools it's the duty of intelligence to disobey." Martin Firrell

Just a quick drop-in as I've been flat-out over the last few days, working with the welfare/government/emergency bodies that are handling the aftermath of the tornado. Besides helping with some of the clean-up I've been baking, soup brewing, and sandwich-making, feeding the emergency workers and many of the people from the 150 or so houses that were affected.

I don't have time to post in all the appropriate threads so I'll leave a few messages here in the hope that people might find them.

Congrats Nilly on your English speaking. Commiserations to monkey-bitten Gus, hope his rabies shots aren't too painful.

Happy yesterday birthday to Caroma.

Interesting snippets.

For Deb Grabien and Jen? (Sorry I'm not sure which one) some new research on MS that you might not be aware of. (With apologies if this is old news or a little presumptious) ... Researchers investigate MS mystery

For Gar and SeanK (if he ever wanders in here) and those who were discussing corporate irresponsibility the other day. This is a good sign ... Rebels humiliate Glaxo

And for whoever asked about Fleischer resigning yesterday ... Bush and Blair's public spokesmen quit their posts on the same day

Getting sleepy ....

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

It wasn't Blair's main spokesman, it was a flunky. if Ali Campbell had gone, it would have been apocalyptic.
