Oh, look after yourself Angus. I'm thinking healthy thoughts.
Leigh, I agree. The only occassions I've seen a loud audience have been applause at the end of films. Recently I've seen it happen in Moulin Rouge, and Whalerider, however the director was in the latter screening so that was an exception.
much dancing occurred during the screening of The Buena Vista Social Club.
Moonlit, that sounds like the perfect environment to see a film like that! But then, I dream of doing boxing training with "Girl Fight" being projected on a crumbled wall in the gym.
I just saw X2 the other night, and the audience (full of freaks & geeks) was really responsive. Lots of fun. That was actually (I think) the first time I've ever whooped in a movie theater, apart from Rocky Horror of course.
Angus, I hope you're feeling better!
Saw X2 yesterday afternoon and the audience was quiet. It wasn't a very full audience and it was at 3 pm so I'm sure that had something to do with it. I'm going to try and go back this weekend and see it on a larger screen, they had us pushed back in one of the smaller theaters.
The movie was fun to watch though. And my movie watching experience was slightly marred by the couple sitting a few seats down from me that were talking. Evidentally the chick didn't know much about certain things (like who certain people were) so the guy had to fill her in when there wasn't action. It was a constant thing but it did get occasionally annoying.
Just in case any Aussies missed it, 7 advertised that Angel has now moved to Thursday nights. It appears this may have been a last minute decision b/c Ebroadcast is still listing Futurama and King of the Hill for that hour.
Re Buffy: was I the only one who had a greet when Xander spoke to Dawn? I think not. Fuck I'm turning into an old sook. *sigh*
That was a sweet scene, wasn't it?
Everyone cried.

Really? I think that's just for Victoria, because I just watched Angel then and they didn't mention that they were changing the timeslot.

Well, it's better than being bitter like me. I found that ep really painful to watch (in the cringe at every second line of dialogue way) and I went to read the past Buffistas discussion and most people liked it. I feel all out of synch. Though I admit that Spike has slightly redeemed himself, if only by being quite outrageously attractive again. I think it's the smirking. I can't resist a good smirker, which might be why I think Calvary was just like porn, but with the added novelty of clothes.

Well, I found it rather horrifically ironic because of the whole 'maybe your power is seeing' bit, what with the eye-gouging and all, but other than that my cynical side just distracted me with Dawn's neat hair-do.

Mmmm.... Calvary.
I have no content to add here.
