Red hair and black leather--my favorite color scheme.

Watched "Manor House" last night. Yep, there was some nudity--we got to see one of the lad's bare butt. Woke me up a bit when I saw that, let me tell you.

PBS is showing two episodes lumped together each night, so last night I saw the first two--moving in and the dinner party.

PBS.org has a page devoted to "Manor House". There's a feature that tells you what your life would have been like in 1905, based on your gender and father's profession. I'm a box maker! Which was all well and good until my husband dies in WWI, leaving me with 4 children...

Huh. Had I been male, I would have had a much nicer life as a clerk. I would have even lived through WWI, though apparantly I'm forced into marriage after knocking a girl up...

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Has anyone seen Edwardian/Manor House BitTorrents around? Because, yeah, I'm going to conquer this whole downloading-tv-shows-at-work thing, really, I am.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I would be really interested in a BitToorent to, if it gets seen!

I'm possibly deranged, but...

I'm sure I saw one yesterday trawling through the links Laura posted in the Technology thread. However, I just went through my booksmarks and history and can't find it again.

On the other other hand, the UK torrent site is currently down.

So either .. I'm holding out faux hope for you here. Or I'm all "go bittorrent go". I'm not entirely sure. But then it's late. And I had three new hours of television today (Gilmore Girls season 3 debut in Australia, West Wing 4x20 & Buffy 7x19) so I think my mind has left the building.

I'm going to conquer this whole downloading-tv-shows-at-work thing, really, I am.

And amych, two of the above were my first bittorrents (but not my first downloads) and I feel all geekily masterful. Numfar do the dance of sad, eh?

Go geek mastery, Julie! Unfortunately for the state of my own life, though, I meant conquer my addiction, not conquer the technology....

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Some businesses consider it a fireable offence to be downloading copyrighted material on company computers. They usually have Kazaa or Napster in mind, but bittorrents of TV episodes might get counted.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Me in 1905. Not a bad little life. I am irrationally proud of my 1905 self.

Heather, I think your 1905 self has a Boston Marriage!
