'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I keep expecting them to play the "Masterpiece Theatre" theme music. It feels like Upstairs, Downstairs only different.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yup. I moissed the first hour, but still good. Although I would not like to be the scullary maid at all. Also, I thought it was weird that the ladies maid was helping out in the kitchen, but the housekeeper was no where to be found.

Also, I think when they said "alcohol poisoning" they just menat "hung-over really bad" becuase to me, if you have alcohol poisoning, you go to the hospital.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Me too. I've seen alcohol poisoning before, and that wasn't it.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I want a footman!

Or a hallboy... he needs a bed anyway.

Have you had the proletarian revolt yet?

I found an email I sent da boy after seeing the first Edwardian House

    oh my...

footmen were paid according to their height.
    yes. their height.
those under 5'7 up to 20 pounds. Those over could earn as much as 40 quid.
    wowza.

    89 steps up.
that's where they kept the house women.
cause yeah.. you know, climbing them?
was probably going to deter the man.
    ohyesindeed!

Did you know it takes 186 separate pieces of silverware for a 6 course meal for 8.
(or is that an 8 course meal for 6? :)

And I'm in love. IN LOVE I tell you. Charles! The First footman. He's a bit of al' right, he is :)

Clearly I was watching for the .. erm .. educational bits! (Does PBS also blank out the bits where they get nuded up?)

No one matches Frontier House's Nate though. He's my secretest television boyfriend.

lalala not editing, not editing

Wait, there was nudity? I knew shoulda watched that show more closely.

White-fonted for Edwardian spoilers (if you consider hair and relationships spoilers, that is):Hmm, is Charles the quy with the really cute in that 'I wanna give you a haircut' way flippy fringe, who had a forbidden girlfriend and kept making the head-butler dude frustrated? Or am I confusing the footmen?

Edit - I do too know how to tell different shows apart, I promise. Also, it appears I'm a serial editor, but some typos you just can't leave alone.

pstt. Leigh? Wasn't that [ Kenny the boot-boy - or hall-boy - or something that indicates he sleeps in a pull down bed in the passageway-boy?
And doesn't he come later?]

Nuthing to see here: Yes, the name Kenny does seem more familiar - but I have these visions of him in a suit with the starched collar while serving things and now I'm thinking that I've invented this flippy haired collar-wearing person because of my strange hair fetish and just convinced myself he was real. Damn subconscious. In my defense, I never really watched the show properly because it was on during my yr 12 exams, when the only television I could handle was the Disney channel because everything else just had me crying to myself like "I'm going to fail! I'm gonna end up having to get up at 4 in the morning for my job as a scullery maid!"

on edit: I looked up the website and yep, you were right. Though I'm pretty sure that at one point, Kenny has to help serving or something. It's also possible my brain went and made that whole part up.

so... let me get this straight..

You wanted to be served by Kenny in a Mickey Mouse suit?

And you're blaming your exams.

Yeah. Okay. Yep. Right. Gotcha. Ahuh. And? :eyes:
