Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 31: We're Motivated Go-getters.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Right. I love cuckold. Makes me think of Yul Brynner.

I meant the homewrecker.

What is even happening?

Technically, I think it's okay to refer to the partner as an "adulterer" or "adulteress." An adulterer is a person who engages in the act of adultery. The act of adultery is defined as sexual intercourse between a married person and a partner other than the spouse.

If I were trying to differentiate between the cheater and his/her partner for something I was writing, what I called the unmarried participant in adulterous sex would depend on the context.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Asshat's argument was that I didn't produce anything he can use. But he wasn't paying me to produce anything. He was bascially testing me to see if I could figure out their spreadsheet. Which he didn't think I could do to his satisfaction. He said I would be compensated for my time.

I'll see how he responds to my last email but this makes me so glad I didn't get the job. I just want to get paid for the time I put in.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Asshat's argument was that I didn't produce anything he can use.

Asshat's argument is full of shit. Unless you agreed in advance on a flat fee upon delivery, he owes you for your time. End of story. (And I suspect he knows it, which is why he's being an asshat now -- he fucked up, and he's prefer not to have to pay for it.)

Yeah. He just emailed me back. His counter offer took a minimal amount off of my quote--basically our initial meeting. I think he was just seeing how much he could get off the bill.

This is a good lesson. Don't agree to spec work without discussing fees first thing.

I have made this mistake soooo many times. I'm so sorry for the travail. I hate it when you do honest work and then get screwed.

Ann, that's a ferret.

What is the "other" man or woman called?

Mistress if a woman, lover if a man. Also, the "other man" or "other woman" is acceptable.

Then there are the answers that would try to be funny but probably really wouldn't be.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

DH was suggesting I sell my gronk on ebay. I decicded if putting it up on freecycle would get rid of it, that would suit me fine.

Do not give in on the money .

and in other money news, that is all about me, I am seeing vearious ways to possibly improve our finacial situation - with out using magic money. Slow, but if I could just get rid of the revovling credit, money life would be easier.

I suppose it isn't worth your zen or time to argue about it, but darn it, I'd want to add money for the time spent arguing about him paying a rate HIS ASSISTANT TOLD YOU WAS 'FINE'.
