My plan is to read Ministry of Time on Sunday, when I can start reading again and am taking a whole-ass laze and leisure day because finally time to, so, yay. Then I have a couple books lined up, but I can't even remember what they are. They're on my little table in the office, and the library just renewed them.
I'm sorry for his family and friends; that's very sad.
I admit I am still extremely confused by the ending of Ministry of Time? But I did finish. Also finished my gay hockey book.
The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson. It follows some of the coming-of-age, fight-in-a-giant-contest-to-rule tropes, but it is really well written with a protagonist I really liked. It's also refreshingly witty with a raven god and...you know, I'm not going to do it justice, but the ravens are amazing.
That does sound good!
Another recommendation for a clever, cozy riff off Arthurian legend is Greenteeth by Molly O'Neill.
I saw that one and wondered, but now I'll go back and add it to the perpetual Want to Read list I have going.
I admit I am still extremely confused by the ending of Ministry of Time?
Yeah, I was a bit confused too, but that might've been impacted by the breakneck speed I was reading by that point because my library ebook loan was about to expire.
