Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I get a prize today . I finally went to my home owners insurance and got a much better deal on auto insurance for us. and I sent off paper to get a better deal on a loan so i feel like a finacial goddess - or I will until I go pay bills.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Sweet, beth! I keep putting off the insurance comparison shopping. Gawd, I love being redlined.

If I only had a brain...

It's a kitten. It is trying to terrorize the other cat.

Its mistake.

Librarian Warlord

When my DH switched insurance companies (before we were married) to the one I was using, he saved over $1000/year. Ridiculous.

My nose is so stuffy-runny and has been for days now that I can barely touch it with the (lotion) tissues. Ouch. This is my worst cold in recent memory and I don't even know who to blame for it.

The coworker and his wife have named their son Sebastian. I cannot get past the Brideshead Revisited connection in my brain.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I really would like DH's co to be reliable about paying expense reports- they used to be very good, so I never worried about floating our money to the co cc. But there have been some really bad ( 4+ wks later) delays, so I have to wait until I see a check before paying...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I may HAVE to go back to work tomorrow, if only to not die or boredom.

if only to not die or boredom.

Oh, I'm SO with you on that. I went grocery shopping yesterday just to get out of the house for a bit. It was such a treat! And productive too!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Moms of children over 12 months:

Where do you change them?

I'm trying to decide if I want to get a changing table for Em's room or not. We currently use our dresser as her changing table, but once we switch rooms, the dresser's leaving her room.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Hello Lovelies! So nice to be caught up so I can talk (at least til I fall behind again).

Forgot to meara, as per usual...

libkitty, so sorry for your community's loss. Will keep you all in prayer for speedy (and well-insured) recovery.

Sail, so sorry for the loss of your aunt.

vw & trudes & juliana, feel-better-like-now-with-stern-looks-virus&bacteria-ward~ma to you all.

KaterinaBee & others... Toxic Boss Contest.

Had such a Saturday. It was like two or three Mondays banded together, disguised themselves as a Saturday and attacked.

Even after a quiet (mostly because I hid in my room with TV & homework) Sunday, it was kind of a relief to come in to work today. Does that seem right to you? I feel like sharing details, because it's thankfully getting funnier from a distance but I haven't written anything down yet. Maybe later.

sj, I don't do LJ. Is there another alternative for booklistyness?

Anybody else? Slightly exhausted hugs & ~ma all 'round.
