Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Here's an example of a math lesson with kinesthetic stuff... I have a resume I'm submitting to a creative firm. I want it to stand out among the hundreds they'll no doubt receive so I'm submitting it in the form of a paper construction. That is, I'll submit it flat, but it will be able to be assembled into a shape. If I were better at math, I'd be able to figure out how to break the 3-D form into a 2-D paper cutout. But I'm awful at math so it's going to involve a lot of trial and error on my part.

It's surprising how little I was able to find on the web about this subject. I have great admiration for those folks who design innovative packaging that was clearly assembled from one piece. When I was in 4th grade, a kid's parent who did paper 3-d works came in and presented. It's a real artform.

Anyway, applying the math learned in school to that would be really cool.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I don't get the urge often, but when I do, I tend to do a whole top to bottom clean and re-org.

Heh, I get like this too.

And I am a control-freaky type with my things, and when I lose track of things I go SO INSANE, like head splodey and accelerated heart rate and stuff.

Has the remote turned up yet?

Today will be a research day. All day!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Well, I had a 'date' tonight with one of the other women from my dating dilemma. I tried to let her down easy, explain to her that I was seeing someone else and so I couldn't get involved with her. There were tears, of course. But I got myself back under control eventually.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I rarely lose my keys (and never my glasses, since if they're not on my face they're less than an arm's length away), but yesterday I did lock myself out of my apartment. Fortunately, DH was only half an hour behind me coming home, but it was a cooooold 30 minutes on the stoop waiting.

So far today, I have made falafel. (Just the "batter" -- it has to sit in the fridge for several hours before I can form the balls and fry them, but still. Go me!)

Trust my rage

We are all headed to brunch this morning. I'm very excited about it - breakfast in a warm cozy place with other people. Maybe I'm so happy because Ellie slept for 9! hours! last night!!!

Today will be a research day. All day!

Same here...well, studying anyway...not so much with the researching, but there will be a little of that too.

Maybe I'm so happy because Ellie slept for 9! hours! last night!!!

That's wonderful! Go Ellie!

Our wings are not tired.

Wow! 9 hours is wonderful. And how many hours did Stephanie sleep?

I lose stuff all the time. Fortunately I am also find it girl. I both lose and break glasses so I wear contacts now.

Break time for me. I just put together a 21 page pdf with airline reservations, 3 hotel reservations, car reservation, and 7 directions maps for various legs of Brendon's trip to California tomorrow. Now I feel all organized.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Ugh, this sucks. Between working the PA gig during the week, and the play on the weekends, I have learned whole new meanings of the word tired.

Lately, especially when working the play, I've gotten so tired it hurts.

Today's task: coming up with formative assessment for inscribed angles. Ooh. Ooh, I just had an idea. Don't know if it'll work, but it's an idea.

And, ugh.
