Everytime he hears "Land of A Thousand Dances," Li'l Sphere starts clapping his hands and trying to sing along with the "na na na" part, which is awe-inspiring.
Ok, you need to film and YouTube this because it would give the "This is the Colbert Report" baby a run for lethal cuteness.
Also? Ded from cute.
Now playing on the '70s station -- "Kong" by Dickie Goodman (Goodman takes on the '76 version of the movie) followed by "Alone Again Naturally."
I leave it to the reader to determine why this proves that the DJ on the '70s station has a warped sense of humor.
I finally got around to posting my top ten list of the songs I got from the Frankenmix exchange, if you're interested in what they were.

I realized as I wrote it up at work that in fact I have a significantly different Top Ten on my work computer, as a result of missing a couple sets there, as well as adding some later at the home computer. Perhaps I will have to do a combined list soon....

Sweet! Three notes...
1. There's a cool video for "Camel Walk."
2. "Let's Go Where the Action Is" was the second theme song for the sixties show
Where the Action Is.
Which was a skit filled, Dave Clark produced show starring Paul Revere and the Raiders. It's covered here by BMX Bandits who are some of the guys from Teenage Fanclub. It was written by Boyce and Hart (best known for their Monkees songs).
3. Early Ultravox was when John Foxx controlled the band. (The later synth hit group was controleld by Midge Ure.) They were were interestingly somewhere between glam (they started in the mid seventies) and punk while anticipating post-punk and synth pop. Their first several albums have recently been re-released, and I just bought the s/t

Corwood, might I trouble you for a whole bunch of baby mixes? They all look great, and my kids need some new music in their lives. I'll email you.
This is a random and obscure request by someone who never posts in here, but I'm halfway desperate for an mp3 of Aaron Copland's "In the Beginning." It's for rehearsal purposes, and the only download iTunes has available is on a CD where I already have most of the material. I'm ordering a different CD from Amazon, but in the meanwhile, I'd love to have something to listen to.
Anyone? Bueller?
Question for the hive mind.
The new Scissor Sisters CD is being released tomorrow in the U.S. On Friday, I'll be on the other side of the Atlantic, where it's already been released.
Any suggestions on whether to buy it here or there?
Big arguments for here: I can put it on my iPod before leaving. So I can listen to "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'," my favorite hit of the day, any time I want. I don't know there will be bonus tracks.
Big arguments for there: It's likely to be a different version, with possible bonus tracks. I can call it a souvenir.
Any suggestions?
It's probably cheaper here, no?
I just got a call from Hec. JZ's contractions finally started, and everything is going well.
