This is a random and obscure request by someone who never posts in here, but I'm halfway desperate for an mp3 of Aaron Copland's "In the Beginning." It's for rehearsal purposes, and the only download iTunes has available is on a CD where I already have most of the material. I'm ordering a different CD from Amazon, but in the meanwhile, I'd love to have something to listen to.
Anyone? Bueller?
Question for the hive mind.
The new Scissor Sisters CD is being released tomorrow in the U.S. On Friday, I'll be on the other side of the Atlantic, where it's already been released.
Any suggestions on whether to buy it here or there?
Big arguments for here: I can put it on my iPod before leaving. So I can listen to "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'," my favorite hit of the day, any time I want. I don't know there will be bonus tracks.
Big arguments for there: It's likely to be a different version, with possible bonus tracks. I can call it a souvenir.
Any suggestions?
It's probably cheaper here, no?
I just got a call from Hec. JZ's contractions finally started, and everything is going well.
Fred, it's cheaper in the states, but there is a bonus track on the UK/Ireland version.
heh! Check out the Flash slide show thingy from today's on-line Sun. On the right under the Photo Gallery heading and the picture of a rollergirl & her tiara.

That's my band playing in the beginning (and a picture of my guitarist doing that thing he does is in there) plus we get a Music by credit at the end! We had no idea!
Excellent! Is that "Bodymore, Murderland" thing generally something people say outside of The Wire?

yeah. I don't know that the Wire didn't popularize it though. So that the 30 year old white girls are saying it now.
Very cool, Lisa. I can't believe people sit on the floor right next to the action like that!

I KNOW! Those ladies fly out into the crowd with some regularity. But it's so exciting to watch it close up!
