There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Free your mind, and your diaper-clad ass will follow.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Everytime he hears "Land of A Thousand Dances," Li'l Sphere starts clapping his hands and trying to sing along with the "na na na" part, which is awe-inspiring.

Garry Shider's personal philosophy.

Speaking of asses...would it be a pain in yours to get me a copy of that baby mix, Corwood? I think the twins in my life need it.

Ok, you need to film and YouTube this because it would give the "This is the Colbert Report" baby a run for lethal cuteness.

Also? Ded from cute.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Now playing on the '70s station -- "Kong" by Dickie Goodman (Goodman takes on the '76 version of the movie) followed by "Alone Again Naturally."

I leave it to the reader to determine why this proves that the DJ on the '70s station has a warped sense of humor.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I finally got around to posting my top ten list of the songs I got from the Frankenmix exchange, if you're interested in what they were.

I realized as I wrote it up at work that in fact I have a significantly different Top Ten on my work computer, as a result of missing a couple sets there, as well as adding some later at the home computer. Perhaps I will have to do a combined list soon....

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I finally got around to posting my top ten list of the songs I got from the Frankenmix exchange, if you're interested in what they were.

Sweet! Three notes...

1. There's a cool video for "Camel Walk."

2. "Let's Go Where the Action Is" was the second theme song for the sixties show Where the Action Is. Which was a skit filled, Dave Clark produced show starring Paul Revere and the Raiders. It's covered here by BMX Bandits who are some of the guys from Teenage Fanclub. It was written by Boyce and Hart (best known for their Monkees songs).

3. Early Ultravox was when John Foxx controlled the band. (The later synth hit group was controleld by Midge Ure.) They were were interestingly somewhere between glam (they started in the mid seventies) and punk while anticipating post-punk and synth pop. Their first several albums have recently been re-released, and I just bought the s/t Ultravox today!
