Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Trifecta?
I've made it through the YLT CD, and agree that the T Rex cover is the best thing on it, but the whole thing is a lot of fun. Can't say that I'll be listening to it often though.
In other news:
They have eight-foot retractable latex Satan wings, sing hits like "Chainsaw Buffet," and blow up slabs of smoking meat on stage. So the heavy-metal band Lordi expected a reaction when it was chosen to represent Finland at Eurovision, the European song competition that launched Abba and Celine Dion. >[link]
Does anyone, anywhere have a downloadable/burnable copy of June Carter and whoever (carl Smith or Johnny) doing "Time's A Wastin'"??
Help a girl.
Great. I stumped the music thread.
I have seen Wayne Hancock live, and can attest that he's a lot of fun.
Don't have a copy of that song, Aimee, sorry.
I don't think anyone does. Dang it all.
Not me, either. But we could play a cool game of Stump The Music Thread, where next I request "Hello, Hello" by Sopwith Camel? ::makes big pleading puppy eyes::
I have "Hello, Hello" (and so does the Air and Space Museum at the Smithsonian!). But I downloaded it 2 crashes ago, so I'm not sure I can find it on the computer. I'll have to check when I get home.
Aimee, there is NO COPY of June and Johnny doing that song unless it is on some bootleg of a live concert version. The point is, not available in retail outlets.
The only album version is with her and Carl on some old albums of theirs and apparently his voice is not so great and it is quite a bit different sounding that what you heard in the movie. It is listed on allmusic as part of a box set, sample to listen to here: [link]
I may have the Sopwith Camel song on a bubblegum mix. Will check when I get home. But I should point out that David almost certainly has the limited-edition extended remix on clear blue vinyl with the lock groove.
