Jon [B] played a delightful set of pop songs including I Wanna Be Sedated. His programming of two moogerfoggers chained onto his EWPro gave his sound an knurly vocal quality that changed with pitch and volume adding to the expressive wit of his performance. His deadpan head bobbing brought exhilarated guffaws from the house. He used a digitech jam man for playback and ran it all through his fender amp. Being so self contained helped a lot in placement choices for this EWPro and he was a true pro as well having to endure re-setting up three times and was incredibly helpful with all his multi-men performance experience.

Put that "Woot!" back in your mouth. You still have to see Barton Fink. You'll see it and you'll love it. Not like it. Love it. Why? Because of all the many brilliant words it has. Much better words than other movies. It's like 9,000 flavors of rare Hollywood and Broadway argot.

Who mentioned Jenny Toomey? She still does the occasional croon-y musical project, but she's primarily been involved with the Future of Music Coalition.

Just back from seeing Rhett Miller. Good times. I wasn't in love with the new band's version of all the Old 97's stuff, but his solo stuff rawked. The new album songs were not all so smooth, but I think this may have been the first if not just an early show.

Opening act was Garrison Starr who I had never heard of. Loved her voice and she was cute as a button between songs.

Now to try to get to sleep with the buzzing ear thing. hate that.
