ION, we got the complete 13 ep series DVDs for the show Action with Jay Mohr and Illeana Douglas.
Hey, I just picked that up myself (or received it - I pre-ordered two copies; one for me and one for a friend who loved the show during its brief run) Haven't gotten around to starting in on them (finishing up ALIAS and then got side-tracked by the ROBOT CHICKEN commentary tracks), but I can't wait. It's like the PROFIT of comedies.
As for favorite Coen brothers, I love LEBOWSKI, and it gets funnier every time I watch it, but I'd have to say MILLER'S CROSSING gets my nod as favorite. Easily as quotable THE BIG L, and it has some real gravitas to it.
I don't have a link for a track download -- jon b must be the one.
So does everybody in the music thread have a favorite Coen Brothers movie?
I hereby 100% approve of your journey to Dudeitude because my favorite Coen Bros movie is certainly
The Big Lebowski.
Followed by
Fargo
and
The Man Who Wasn't There.
My parents were in town this weekend, and I tried to get them to watch
Miller's Crossing.
They thought it was a "downer."
I wish I could be more excited about the Sufjan disc, but I don't want leftovers from
Illinois.
I thought it was a tad too full of extras as it was. I'm sure there will be good stuff on it - but I feel no need to run out and buy it.

Not me. In SA's post SA "Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach" Apr 11, 2006 2:26:01 pm PDT she claimed that her link led to a download, but it doesn't seem to.
I thought it was a tad too full of extras as it was
I agree.
I'm with Frank, too, although under the right circumstances, Lebowski can replace Miller's Crossing as my favorite Coen Bros flick.
Miller's Crossing, I guess.

Yeah, that was a great, undernoticed show. Makes up for a lot of the things Jay Mohr has done.
I caught a few episodes when it was on TV, but I don't remember what I thought about them at the time.
So does everybody in the music thread have a favorite Coen Brothers movie? And if not, why?
The Dude abides, Hec. After Lebowski, dunno, probably Fargo, but hard to pry them apart at that point.
I'm pretty sure SA's link went to her own fubos site?
I really have trouble deciding on my favorite Coen film. Depending on what day of the week it is, I could go for
Raising Arizona, Fargo, Lebowski
or
Oh Brother Where Art Thou?

If it did, she changed it. It went to Stereogum, who often have songs for download but do not in this case.
