Natter 37: Oddly Enough, We've Had This Conversation Before.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Can you actually get Digestives over there?
Only in the British import places.
And in chinese import places, especially ones that somehow are in Hong Kong immigrant neighborhoods. I found McVitties for way cheaper at a Chinese grocery store in Monterey Park than at the poshe stupide britishe storee.
Hee. So, unsurprisingly, my town doesn't even register on city-data, but the nearest one, Nageezi, shows:
Population (year 2000): 296
Median resident age: 26.5 years
Median household income: $11,042 (year 2000)
Median house value: $9,999 (year 2000)
Races in Nageezi:
* American Indian (99.3%)
* Hispanic (0.7%)
* Other race (0.7%)
So I'm guessing I win at "least white" town.
• Bissell Barbie Real vacuum cleaner
• Cordless, lightweight and portable
• Perfect for cleaning bare floors and carpets
• For ages 6 years and up
If they make Yu-Gi-Oh, and Bob the Builder models, I'll buy three. But I'll stick my own hair (while still attached to my head) in the vacuum, before I buy *only* my daughter a play/real vacuum.
I think it might be easier to move my files that way?
These days, I don't think it makes a difference. It's just storage.

It's the ex-colony thing. In fact, there's a whole subset of "Jamaican" stuff I can get in HK-neighbourhood stores, or Indian stores.
Blame Nestlé.
It also comes in Scooby Doo. [link]

I'd check Indian groceries, too. That's where I go when I need Bird's and can't access Canada.
A cheap local supply of Rogers, and I'd be golden.
(Of course, I bought a few of the Costco sized jugs two years ago, and am set for the near future.)
I'd say a local supply of Shreddies, but I mixed them with morning sickness last year and lost my taste for the things.

'Zactly. And unburdened by the weird bonus price inflation. I like cheap.
So, had my interviews today. I'm really really hoping for the first job. Not great pay, but the job itself is right up my alley. During my question time (though I was actually asking questions through the whole thing) I asked her what made her want to join the company. We talked about really believing in something, and how it's not just a job with a paycheck, but you really have to have a calling.
I need to write a thank you note, but I'm afraid it won't get there until Monday. Is a quick email ok? It was a very friendly, informal office, but I don't want to make any presumptions.
Second interview was fine, decent job with good growth potential, but certainly not a calling.
Heather, I e-mailed mine. I think these days, especially if they're making decisions quickly, it's okay.
Good luck!

I think an email is okay. You might want to send the paper one, too.
