I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Can I go home yet?

Yes. As long as you sneak out the back.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey! There's a dress allowance! I want a job like that.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Jesus. Get a masseur to visit your office, for god's sake, and hire a real PA.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I read a little of the fanfic thing. I don't read fic, but it seems to me that if you don't like what she's doing, not sending her any money is the best way to handle it. Is her WIP that frelling good that people would pay to see it? Let the market take care of it.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Somebody make me get dressed so I can go get food for the public television people...and then remind me not to volunteer to drive in 5:00 traffic to bring food I won't even be able to enjoy.

Today has been wild. Last night I got a lead on a job. The job hasn't been posted, and the person who turned me onto it has an inside connection. Pays really well and sounds fairly exciting (actually it sounds really exciting), but not really serving the community, unless by "serving the community" you mean the community of rich local celebrities.

I also have 2 interviews tomorrow. One is with a non-profit that pays shit with long hours, but actually does good. I could be proud of going to work in the morning. The other doesn't pay really well either, but has better hours and I could continue volunteer work. The first is close to home the other is waaaaay out in north Dallas.
