If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I imagine some of the rage is coming from people who have as little, or less, and consider it right that they pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

Then they should do so, by all means. That said, I wonder how much of the rage is inspired by the red-on-white text motif in her journal.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I think some people are pissed because she is asking to be paid for writing something which is already infringing copyright, and making fan fiction a for-pay endeavor is likely to bring negative attention to a form of writing which is already on shaky legal ground. I can see how that would rankle--and I don't read fan fiction.

Also, people are protective and irritable about fanfic in general. I mean, there's this sense of "We know we're not doing anything wrong, but we also know that we're better off not attracting legal attention," and what she was doing could attract legal attention. Honestly, I understand people getting pissed.

Well, that and maybe they've had it up to here with STUPID MORONS and are on a SHORT FUCKING FUSE and ONE MORE IDIOT WAS TOO MUCH... er, I could be projecting, though.

(Or, rather, What Robin Said, with a little added Internet Ire (like road rage, but it needed allusiveness. consonance. alluooooo something. chole?))

No, I get why they're pissed and why it's wrong. And I also get why they want to not have the bright eyes of C&D people on them. And they should take her ass down because of that.

But how they choose to do it and the language they used? It just reminds me of the anonymous notes that 6th grade girls leave for the other girls they hate.

But, I think that's my inner midwesterner speaking.

I had to stop reading the IMDB movie boards, due to the toxic combination of stupidity and rudeness. "U are to much of a moron to relize what a good movie is, so shut up!"

Punishingly Intricate

Veteran emergency room nurses in San Francisco can all run off a list of unexpected objects they've had to remove from various asses.

My best friend the ER doc once treated a guy who had

put a deck screw up his penis.

When she asked him how he got it up there he looked at her like she was stupid and said,

"With a screwdriver."

Oh, I get you. You're talking lack of politeness, not anger. Fair enough. People say needlessly nasty stuff, I'm with you there.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

1 flat iron steak (rare) with burgundy butter sauce, cheddared mashed potatoes, lemonade, tip = $16.83 off my TGIF card.

Free ain't cheap, let me tell you.

I cannot tell you how freaking jealous I am of people going to Pennsic. I'm starting to hallucinate Pennsic smells.
