Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

Thrive to spite them

Fishing? Potted meat and vienna sausage.

Dad was all about the Vienna sausages when fishing. Vienna Sausages and crackers. And some canned fruit, maybe.

And Carnation Breakfast bars, I loved those.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have this book, and want to try it, but I haven't, in large part because I can't get past the feeling that it will taste like bongwater.

Ha! I'm now envisioning Green Stripe beer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, I actually like pate more than I would have thought, so maybe potted meat that's NOT from the dollar store like the kind I saw most recently would be something I would like.

I think I need to get these: [link]

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm suddenly craving vienna sausages.

I haven't had Vienna sausages in forever, so I thought I'd google. I'm just not feeling it, although I have been off most sausages unless grilled to within an inch of their former lives. I don't know why that is. Maybe nitrites.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Potted or deviled meat has an unfortunate paste-like texture and way too much salt. Like cheap bologna, it's a way to use up otherwise difficult-to-sell parts such as hearts and lights (lungs).

Thankfully, my father was a sardines-and-crackers person.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The best part of Vienna sausages is the gelatin they're packed in. They're nice to have around for emergencies because you don't need a can opener to get to them, or utensils, or heat.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Lack of Vienna sausage emergency?

That's probably when they are most effective.
