Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

What is even happening?

Wasn't Bovril just uberthick stock?

Uberthick, salty stock. It comes in paste form, and they'd spread it on toast. It's not as thick as the potted meat, I'm sure, but I'm wondering how different it is.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, one is juice, and the other is smooshed stuff. I'm not having words to describe the difference, but broth and pate are different to me, and they are different in the same way.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

The corn smut didn't make your hair wiggle, even a little? The wine with the socks?

After those two I had to close the page, b/c I was going to sell the buick.

What is home without Plumtree's Potted Meat? Incomplete. With it an abode of bliss.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Isn't potted meat basically just country-style paté?

(Note -- I have not been to the site, and am basing my idea of "potted meat" entirely on that chapter from whichever of Elizabeth David's books has the potted meat in it.)

SPAM is potted meat.

SPAM is neither potted nor meat. It's canned byproducts.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think today should be over now, even on this coast.

Who's with me?

Not even slightly wrong.

I got Lily and Emma onesies that say "mini" on the front and have the apple logo on the back. I think maybe they both need a matching set.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

SPAM is potted meat.

I think Spam is its own category of ew.

Tommyrot, fire on the Purple Line. It's well south of you, but service might still be affected.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Who's with me?

t raises hand weakly

Why is it, whenever I'm about to shut down the computer, my mother chooses that moment to start a lengthy IM conversation?

SPAM calls itself "packaged canned meat product made of 100 percent pure pork and ham" and a "luncheon meat."
