Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I love the reversal of their roles, not only along gender lines but also based on their self-image and who they would identify with. But also making sense.

Art Crawl!!!

Ah.

Well, she was in thrall to the impression of the past and not to Angel, perhaps THAT is the difference.

I love the Spike reveal at the end.

Yeah, ghostly thrall is bound to be different.

Yup, that's a fine, fine Spike moment.

So much good stuff in this episode!

If so, he is apparently somebody in Deadwood.

John Hawks. S used to work with him in the Austin theater crowd. Very nice guy.

brillig

It's the best Spike moment of the show, to my mind.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

To me, that was the synchronized head turn with Drusilla in "School Hard."

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I just found a box of tapes in a closet. (Okay, technically, the kitchen pantry.) Looks like Buffy season 1 and 2, plus some talk show interviews and the like with Buffy cast members. Is anyone interested before I toss them out? I'll send them anywhere for the cost of postage.
