Has "Bored now" entered her vocabulary?
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
Those are all extremely correct reactions

Right? It's such a beautiful phrase. If you're with a fan, they get it. If you're not, you get to be stealth vicious.
Upon seeing the demon Balthazar - "Moisturize me!"
Ha!
We're still loving S3 (even Gingerbread is better than I remember, and Aeryn definitely wanted to know Does Amy Stay A Rat Forever?), just not posting as many reactions because we are Deep In Plot now. (The back half of S3 is just one banger after another. I mean Bad Girls into Consequences and then DOPPELGANGLAND??? Truly we are blessed. I predict this household will be big fans of the return of Vamp!Willow.)
I did start to wonder - is the reason A can predict so many lines/plot points because I absorbed the rhythms and phrasings of this show into the way I speak (and they, raised by me, have simply grown up assuming this is how people talk)? Or because so much media of the past three decades has been inspired by this show and so everything they've ever been a fan of was probably created by someone who watched the original run of this one?
(Or, you know, good old-fashioned neurodivergent pattern recognition which they ALSO got from me. Maybe being able to quip along with Buffy is literally genetic.)
I would guess all those things, yeah
I can't tell you how many times I think about the exact moment when BtVS became my fandom home which I can pinpoint with great accuracy as when Buffy said "You're my Q" and DH was like "what?" and I said "James Bond Q not Star Trek" just before Buffy made the same clarification. A key moment in my biography
I can see where it is all of the above, Jess. Also, I had totally forgotten about Amy! I should have watched along with your crew.
Mayor: "I think some lucky girl's got herself a Playstation!"
A: "They had those back then?"
Ouch!
