If punctuation doesn't protect you among the Buffistas, then I don't think I have any faith left in the world.

It may protect you from charges of "you're doing it wrong". Mockery is a whole 'nother spectator sport. Especially when you're talking about a love that dare not speak its name, for fear of starting up the same old pronunciation debate.
