Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

that fluttery feeling I had in my stomach when that teaser ran, not knowing what was going to happen next

I remember that exact feeling very specifically from the moment when Buffy first sees Angel again (Beauty and the Beast?) after she thought he was dead and thinking "No effing way - what the hell is going to happen now." and then after the commercial I was like "No seriously, what the hell is this show doing - What was the first part of this season about? What is it going to be now? What the hell is going to happen.." I could hardly stand it.

Also - during Tara and Giles' duet in OMWF when I knew they were leaving the show and they were singing about it right there - it was very odd - and I just kept thinking - What are they going to do without Giles?

It may seem silly now - but at the end of the season finale of S6 - when Spike got re-souled. Not trying to bring up the MANY problems with that storyline. But I remember sitting in front of my TV as the credits rolled just totally shocked. And wanting to scream with anticipation as to what was going to happen next.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Most of my big moments have been hit, but there are still a few from my favorite episode "Prophecy Girl" that no one's mentioned:

• Joyce giving Buffy her prom dress and telling her that at 16 everything seems like it's a matter of life & death
• Willow's sobbing reaction to the A/V room deaths—her "they took our world and made it theirs" line in particular—maybe Aly's best performance
• Cordelia's come-with-me-if-you-want-to-live moment mowing down the Master's minions and driving Willow and Miss Calendar to relative safety inside the school (Did anyone else think she'd been called at the moment of Buffy's death?)

And what may be for me the quintessential moment of the entire series: Buffy's "I may be dead, but I'm still pretty."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In OWMF, the final song, where they step away and sing "Where do we go from here?" -- and I didn't know the answer.

move out and draw fire

Buffy and Riley coming face to face at the end of Hush.

Vamp!Willow and Vamp!Xander sharing a Cordy snack.

Cleveland Buffy killing all her friends and Angel in the Wish-verse.

The cut to Hayden in mid-dust, and Buffy's expression in CwDP.

"God...my brilliance is now becoming a bit of a burden...get back to me." Dr. Cox - Scrubs

End of "Lie to Me"

....Buffy: liar

Also "Chosen" As if the core four together in the high school having a very similar conversation to the one at the end of "The Harvest", when they all start going their different directions. I think when it got down to just Buffy and Xander seperating I got a bit of allergies.

Can't remember which order they left in but didn't they all seperate from Buffy in the reverse order that she met them her first day at Sunny"one hall"dale High.

Another social casualty...

The one that got me is the five seasons' worth of previouslies before "The Gift", as well as "You're just a girl." "That's what I always say."

Tara's "It's always sudden", not really understanding how true it is.

Oz's "My whole life I've never loved anything else".

Have to stop now. Can't cry on the new job.

Angel showing up at the prom...and then before you even have a chance to recover from that...Johnathan's class protector speech.

All is well that ends in pizza.

it was the reverse order, Gleebo, but yeah.

Some have objected to the scene, but not many.

Certainly not me.

All is well that ends in pizza.

As an aside, I'd like to mention Cordy in the green dress in Homecoming. Thank you. Not a HSQ moment, but a confirmation that that woman was older and sexier than her character.

More memorable Buffy moments for me:

The killing of Cordy in the Wishverse.

Giles enters in Two To Go "I'd like to test that theory."
