I think it's a matter of personal investment. Back in its first couple of seasons I was pretty rabid about Friends (before
Buffy
showed me the
true
meaning of obsessive fandom), but by the time it got really bad my love for it was but a distant memory and changing the channel came easy.
With Angel (and Seasons 5 & 7 of
Buffy
before it) I'm still in the "Baby, how can you do this to me?" phase of the relationship.

Or "Baby, you're still pretty, but you ain't as smart as you seemed...."

The Return of Riley. A masterpiece compared to "Doublemeat Palace."
I liked "She," so pretty and fun carry a lot more weight than smart for me. It's the fun going away that I have trouble getting past.
Ah yes, Attack of Mrs. Mary Sue Finn.
She
My all-time worst ME episode. Yes, we are all individuals. :)
Man, I'm watching all the OC I hadn't had time to watch, and remembering the whole first flush of love thing.
I miss the infatuation stage with the Buffyverse.
And I kind of liked Doublemeat Palace.
Oh, I won't deny for a second that "She" was mostly craptacular. But Angel's Baudelaire lecture, the spaz dancing, and Cordy's party with the "Diego, pants on!" were good enough to turn it into a net positive for me.

w00t!! if there is anything more adorable than adam brody, i don't know what it is. the OC is fun for me b/c I'm in on it from (pretty much) the beginning, as opposed to Buffy where I came in s4.
New OC tonight!
