this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Well, I find Charisma Carpenter to be that insanely too-pretty-to-be-human type of pretty. It's the type of pretty that desexualizes the person, much like TW.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Everybody wants to be Ple's prettiest, but who is prettier than Ple?

Really?

I think she's certainly pretty, but she's never made me just stare at my TV and wish I looked like her, the way Rose McGowan has. I'd put her about on a par with SMG -- nice-looking, but you wouldn't really notice her as anything special if she wasn't on TV.

(Which is not to say you're wrong, just that tastes differ.)

I can't even.

I've realized that I watch Smallville pretty much just for Kristin Kreuk's 1.5 facial expressions and I don't care what they do with the rest of the show. It's like "Oh there's Clark. There's Lex. There's Ma and Pa Kettle. Lana hasn't been on screen for 4.278458 minutes, I'm getting fidgety."

Okay, how perfectly Buffista is it that we set up a Smallville thread so we can talk about pretty SV people in the Buffy thread?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I tried to move it back. It wouldn't go.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Pretty is a fairly subjective thing. My personal choice for most gorgeous human being ever to walk the planet is my first lover... being at work, I can't call up his (adult-oriented) website, but if you take this guy and add a slightly squarer jaw and blond hair, you'll get the general idea.

(Also, for those who watched MTV's Real World: Los Angeles, Aaron represents a much stronger resemblance than Christian Bale. Like, separated at birth strong.)

Nobody

I said that thing about Tom Welling the other night, but neglected to add the "male or female" bit, when I said it to dh. Dh coughed, in that sort of "what about me" way. I said, "Honey, I mean pretty--boy or girl. Who is prettier than that man? I like your looks better, but he's just the prettiest thing I can remember seeing, male or female."

He didn't see it. Not saying he didn't think TW is prettier than he is, he just doesn't think he's prettier than girls. I suppose I should be glad of that, but I think his eyes done broke.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Well. Fair enough, then.
