Buffistas don't watch the Wheel, John. Otherwise, right there with ya.
I definitely don't, but I had to think of something that my old decrepit, Buffy-forgetting self might watch, and Free Spin was it. Even so, I couldn't make myself buy that delusion.
My review of Buffy Season 8, episode 2.
Hmmm, looks like they won't be hearing about Spike this ep, but the whole mysterious stranger watching them was sooo creepy.
And when he turned out at the end to be Patrick Warburton? I yelled "Spooooon!"
The scene where Xander suddenly left after the argument with Giles and we saw him later, flashing back on talking to Anya's gravestone? (ETA: Forgot they were in Europe) It makes me think he is going to go dark this season. Certainly the part where he said he feels dead inside.
Willow didn't have much to do this ep. except for the big scene with Warburton.
More Dawn and Faith training is good, but the whole Dawn, Faith and Buffy go shopping montage was the happiest I've seen all of them in a long Long time.
Since They didn't have Warburton give his name, can he be Johnny Johnson like on News Radio?
I did notice the Wolfram and Hart logo on his day planner. I half expected them to show him writing "Thursday, October 3, try and Take Over the World!"
I hope Warburton is evil. I can't stress this enough.
And the watchers Giles is training? the little weasily guy has to die, but I feel the snarkers need to be encouraged, and the rest? All need a dose of reality. That locked room to the side? Vampires?
Almost half the watchers are women! Coolness.
Best line of the night? "Spare me the "there's evil in the world' speech, gramps." and giles response of tossing him the videotape and volunteering the guy for "field work." over the weekend.
Liked the redheaded watcher girl, but I think Willow and her liked each other a bit.
Yep. Spike news next week.
Buffistas don't watch the Wheel, John.
Which membership card must I turn in, then?
(Is loving the game shows)
If it helps, I watch Wheel (and Jeopardy!) hoping for ME-related material to show up. "BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER" was a puzzle last year, I think.
I have to agree, Daniel really did a good job. It goes to show how Buffista commentary made the show more interesting to talk about. I was going to make a comparison about how I'd still want them to air Talk Soup even if there weren't any talk shows to clip from. Unfortunately that reminds me that there are no new Talk Soup episodes anymore either.
What the? Season 8? But...but...I thought that the portal in the bathroom this morning was dream...
Hmmm, alternate universe. That actualy goes a long way to explain the Confederate States of America Embassy, the playoffs between the New York Yankees and the Seattle Orcas, and all the damn blimps.
I want to live in Daniel's head, at least on Tuesday nights.
I hope this Buffy Season 8 can be a weekly thing like the 5 minute recaps from Angel
What were the first 2 episodes titles and writers?
I watched
Something Blue
last night and decided that comisseratingw/Willow!Buffy in the sky-blue tank top and hair all piled up on her head is tina's hottest SMG moment evah. I never really think of SMG as hot. She is a very purty girl, but all my girl-lust goes straight toward Willow and Faith. But the sky-blue tank top; I think it's hard to beat.
