Zoidberg WINS!!!
Buffy 4: Grr. Arrgh.
This is where we talk about Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No spoilers though?if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it. This thread is NO LONGER NAFDA. Please don't discuss current Angel events here.
I just watched New Moon Rising. Say what you will about Marti, but should could bring the pain in a big way. Good pain, I mean. She could occasionally bring the bad pain to.
Also watched WTWTA, just cause it was there. So many good moments in such a bad episode. I'm just sorry that Xanders "Will, I'm fighting total mental breakdown here; please, no more fuel on the fire" didn't get in the death match (at least I don't think it did).
eta and now on to disc 5 in Angel season 1 (I'm alternating sets due to the x-over factor).
It's sort of like She, about a quarter golden and shining, about three quarters of absolute, horrifying dren.
I'd argue the WTWTA has a higher quotient of good to bad. With She, there are two good scenes, plus Bai Ling pretty, and that's about all she wrote.
WTWTA has Xander "breaking up" with Anya, Spike and Anya reminiscing over past kills, God of folk Giles, the Wallgasm (which I thought was pretty funny), Spike talking himself into, then out of helping out. Also, I like the idea that the heroine of a prime time show spent the entire episode having sex; the reality, though, NSM.
She has Angel dancing. And dead guy bonding. And Angel being totally socially hopeless, which I always liked. (Back when I *liked* Angel.)
I would like WTWTA better if the good scenes were easier to separate. If what Buffy and Riley were doing didn't keep being mentioned while they were offscreen, I could just fastfoward every scene with either one of them in it.
Can anyone tell me how to find the schedules for Buffy in syndication (not cable)? There are a bunch that run on the weekends and one of them (UPN at like 11 pm here in the DC area) was Welcome to the Hellmouth. Since I'm too poor to buy all the DVDs and didn't save every episode at the time, is there any chance that the syndicated ones run in order, the whole season at a time, so I can tape? My sons are now old enough to appreciate Buffy and I'd love to capture it as it goes by this time.
Thanks!
I would go to one of the televison grid sites - - and search for Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- it will pull up your local listings for Buffy.
Yahoo has a tv grid, as does tvguide.com and zap2it.com
You'll have to register for tvguide.com.
the Wallgasm (which I thought was pretty funny)
Funny yes, but you have no idea how expensive it is to get one installed.
