Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

REASON - and Buffy

Why Buffy Kicked Ass... by Virginia Postrel in Reason Magazine.

Among other good parts:

The mere existence of Buffy proves the declinists wrong about one thing: Hollywood commercialism can produce great art. Complex and evolving characters. Playful language. Joy and sorrow, pathos and elation. Episodes that dare to be different -- to tell stories in silence or in song. Big themes and terrible choices. In the show’s most wrenching moment, Buffy kisses her one true love and saves the world by sending him to hell.

FYI (taken directly from their site): Reason is the monthly print magazine of “free minds and free markets.” It covers politics, culture, and ideas through a provocative mix of news, analysis, commentary, and reviews. Reason provides a refreshing alternative to right-wing and left-wing opinion magazines by making a principled case for liberty and individual choice in all areas of human activity.

Are you ready to be strong?

OK so I just watched "Graduation II" on FX ... is my brain playing tricks on me or did the Snake!Mayor say, all cornylike, "Well gosh!" when he saw the explosives in the school???

I don't remember hearing that before. Did FX add it in like big zomboons or was that always there?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It was always there Rio.

Are you ready to be strong?

I must have repressed it. It ruins an otherwise awesome episode.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I kind of liked it. It was very Mayorish, I thought.

Are you ready to be strong?

But it was weird that the snake TALKED. He didn't seem to be able to till that moment.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I don't like it either. Subtitles might have rubbed me better, but it just seemed cheesy as it was

Are you ready to be strong?

"God...my brilliance is now becoming a bit of a burden...get back to me." Dr. Cox - Scrubs

Also. SNAKES CANNOT TALK.

Yes, but did the fact that Kangaroos cannot rap stop the creation of the movie "Kangaroo Jack?"

The world can be willy nilly at times.
